Description
[edit]The description "subtractive restoration by removal of non-period features" seems to be a fairly selective and judgemental interpretation of the concept of "building restoration" and only defines a subset of the activity - what about straightforward like-for-like, sensitive replacement of an unsound roof or wall using similar materials, for example? Thoughts? Dave.Dunford (talk) 10:55, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
- I've been bold and altered it to "alterations to a building to expand, enhance, update, reflect changes in taste or to prolong its life" Dave.Dunford (talk) 11:01, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
