Das Wikidata-Dilemma der fehlenden Eindeutigkeit
[edit]Wenn ich vom hier aufgeführten englischen Begriff ausgehe und dem Link zum Artikel "Konservierung" folge, lande ich bei Erklärungen, wie Fisch- und Fleischkonserven hergestellt werden. Erst weiter hinten im Artikel, in der Einleitung nicht erwähnt, kommt dann auch etwas zur Haltbarmachung von Kunst- und sonstigen Kulturgegenständen.
Mir scheint, dass das Grundprinzip von Wikidata die Annahme ist, dass alle Gegenstände in allen Sprachen und Kulturen eindeutige Definitionen haben, was ja nun ganz offensichtlich nicht der Fall ist. Die Möglichkeit, einen Begriff in einer Sprache mehreren Begriffen in einer anderen Sprache zuzuordnen (wie das zum Beispiel in jedem anständigen Wörterbuch geschieht) ist offenbar nicht gegeben und soll wohl gerade vermieden werden. Dasselbe gilt für die Inter-Wiki-Links, das hat die Nachdenklicheren in Wikipedia schon auf die Palme gebracht, als es Wikidata noch gar nicht gab.
Ich schlage vor, dass über diese Fragen mal nachgedacht und offen diskutiert wird. --Cabanero42 (talk) 19:14, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
