Blazon not instance of Art, but a description of it[edit]
Blazon is not art itself, but a "description" of art or an art form in heraldry. So I have removed the instance of art (Q735) - Thadguidry (talk) 16:57, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
English Wikipedia describes blazonry at en:Blazon. This appears to be the same concept as German de:Blasionierung which links here. Hairy Dude (talk) 22:16, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Hairy Dude: A blazon is a formal describing of a particular coat of arms. Blazonry is a genre, the study/art of creating blazons. They are not the same, even though both concepts translate to Blasonierung in German. (Notice that blazon is countable, while blazonry isn’t. When I mean blazonry, I can’t say Blasonierungen in German either, but I can do so if I mean blazons.) —Tacsipacsi (talk) 09:42, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
