[edit]@Geogast: I think this item should be merged with Q879146. I do not see why this item (Q52572620) exists: it is not linked to any Wikimedia project, is not described to any data bank, and it does not seem to meet the Wikidata:Notability. Veverve (talk) 00:43, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- Honestly, I am surprised. 70 objects link to this item; so, it fulfills notability criterion #3. Q52572620 and Q879146 are very different things. Take Alaska Synod (Q4708621), for instance: it is synod (Q52572620) and a part of Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (Q730726), which is a Christian denomination (Q879146).--Geogast 🤲 (talk) 02:24, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Geogast: If this item means a diocese (as the description says), then it should be merged with Q665487 (new items must not be created to store synonyms). If it is the form of government, then it should be merged with either Q911924 or Q111161. Veverve (talk) 03:02, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- It is similar to a diocese, it's not the same. See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synod#Lutheran. With Q911924 or Q111161 it has (nearly) only the name in common. Geogast 🤲 (talk) 16:10, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

- I do not read that in the article. I suggest you discuss this matter in the talk of the mentioned WP article. There are more people involved there, people who know a lot about synods. - It is similar to a diocese, it's not the same. See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synod#Lutheran. With Q911924 or Q111161 it has (nearly) only the name in common. Geogast 🤲 (talk) 16:10, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
