Superset[edit]
sentiment (Q7451247) ? --Fractaler (talk) 10:54, 18 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Fractaler: Based on the Russian label I added the English "sentiment" - and the srwiki article has the page in parent category "psychology". I don't consider either of those appropriate for this topic/item.
Perhaps "political viewpoint" or "prejudice"?-- Deborahjay (talk) 06:25, 29 October 2017 (UTC) - Edited to add: - after reading the labels of my suggestions above (now marked with strikethrough), I've changed the statement to Q20978643 (though I dislike its present description and am considering how to reword it). Your input would be appreciated. -- Deborahjay (talk) 06:33, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
- How do you think, this item has opposite of (P461) (for a better understanding of the item by means of an antonymic link)? --Fractaler (talk) 13:49, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
- My edit in light of your suggestion uses opposite of (P461) as a qualification of instance of (P31) "point of view (Q20978643)" - would you consider that the optimal choice? I'm not convinced that anti-Zionism is an ideology, as Zionism (Q42388) is stated. -- Deborahjay (talk) 14:37, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
- Excuse me, I do not understand these items, I just wanted to draw the attention of specialists to the lack of connections and definitions. But I think if the items (sets) are antonyms (antipodes), then they should have one common item (superset). Here we have: 1 set superset is point of view (Q20978643), but 2 is ideology (Q7257). But if we take into account that ideology (Q7257) is ultimately point of view (Q20978643), then, it looks like everything is ok. --Fractaler (talk) 15:39, 29 October 2017 (UTC)

Description[edit]
My edits of 28 October 2017 were based on the 'classic definition of Zionism: support for and promoting a sovereign homeland for the Jewish people. However, upon reading the present lead paragraph of the enwiki page w:Zionism which refers further to a "modern" (i.e. late 20th C.) understanding of that homeland being on the territory referred to as the "Land of Israel" and its Jewish "ethnocracy" - I felt this Wikidata item is most appropriately described as the more general "opposition to Zionism" or "being against Zionism." I used either of the latter-mentioned terms in Google Translate to produce translations in languages unfamiliar to me, checking each with back-translation to English, and omitted those with which I'm entirely unfamiliar. -- Deborahjay (talk) 07:14, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
