Linkage[edit]

This doesn't seem like the ordinary cross-language links for disambiguation pages. The pages on other wikipedias are translations, not the identical transcription. Most other disambiguation pages point to the same spelling on another Wikipedia. The translation of this term on English Wikipedia is w:en:American (disambiguation), but that has a different WikiData page, where all the cross-language links are disambiguation pages spelled "American". English Wikipedia has a disambiguation page for w:en:Americain (disambigation), which is the equivalent for the page at w:fr:Américain, and they have a w:fr:American, which uses Q463180 ...

How is Wikidata going to sort out disambiguation pages that are translations of the term in other languages, versus the same spellings in other languages, when the translation will not apply to all meanings found on the disambiguation pages in all languages? (the only thing that will would be the same spelling)
