place of birth

[edit]

The place of birth is actually stated as Q1379299 (Smyrna), but as all of us surely know, many towns claimed the same honour in ancient times, and the matter seems to be still much debated and far from reaching a definitive conclusion. What should we do? Remove the claim, or perhaps add the other claimants? Candalua (talk) 10:41, 16 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

He retirado el dato del lugar de nacimiento. Es verdad que podría ser Esmirna, pero no es un dato seguro.Dodecaedro (talk) 15:54, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

P31

[edit]

Hey. I'm considering updating instance of (P31) to something that would better reflect the Homeric question. That would probably result in human (Q5) being either deprecated or with nature of statement (P5102) as hypothesis (Q41719). However, I am wondering what would be the best alternative: I am thinking of conceptual character (Q3375719), collective pseudonym (Q16017119), human whose existence is disputed (Q21070568), and probably more would be adequate. Would somebody else have suggestions ? Cheers, --Jahl de Vautban (talk) 14:56, 27 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I gave human whose existence is disputed (Q21070568) a preferred rank and removed disputed (Q18912752): human whose existence is disputed (Q21070568) expresses that some people say that he was real and some people say he was not. I doubt that anybody claims that there is noone disputing his existence. - Valentina.Anitnelav (talk) 16:47, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Homer as a Byzantin

[edit]

In the Hebrew version Homer's mentioned as born in the Byzantine empire, it may be a mistake in the this page or in "Byzantine Empire (Q12544)" (probably a mistake of BC with AD), please help and correct.79.180.194.64 06:38, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The problem actually came from Smyrna (Q1379299). I think it's solved now. --Jahl de Vautban (talk) 08:23, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ye. Thank you Jahl.79.180.194.64 16:01, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
