Hello everyone, the Link to the mentioned site is incorrect from my point of view. The regarding article is about family-friendly games with the attributes: short, easy to learn and suitable for the whole family. Ironically at the Moment there is no article on the german Wikipedia, that reflects German-style board games (Eurogames). The closest would probably be w:de:Autorenspiel, but I think the topic is not close enough on german Wikipedia, because it focus on the attributes: good quality material, short rules, intermediate play length, no player-elimination, non-violent-theme, communication and expandability. Which I actually don't associate with an Eurogame (which from my point of view's main attribute is abstraction). The general impression on this topic among the interested people on WP-DE is not clear (if you can understand german see w:de:Portal_Diskussion:Spiele/Archiv/2016#Inkonsistenzen_in_Spieleartikeln for the according discussion).

I tried being bold and remove the Link here (on the impression it's in any case wrong, with no aim to point to instead), but was asked to never do this again, so I needed to mention it here on the talk page, so somebody with deeper knowledge here can do something about it. If the link should not be deleted it should at least point to w:de:Autorenspiel (which seems to be the linkdirection for some other languages as well), I think. I will further try to discuss this with the interested Wikipedians on de, and will keep you posted, if I'll notice a significant change in structure, entries or atmosphere about the topic. fyi: we had another discussion concerning the problem, see here: w:de:Diskussion:Familienspiel (german language knowledge or some kind of translation required). In the german article family game the identity between family-friendly (short, easy to learn, mitigating mechanics) and Eurogame is supposed. --HirnSpuk (talk) 23:21, 5 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

fyi2: we compromised in a way, that it's pointed out in the article, that many family-friendly games can be considered Eurogames, but not all Eurogames must be family-friendly, thus I think we reached a position, where the link might be kept, as long as there is no article for Eurogames in WP-DE.
