Multichill, organization and building after all are distinct concepts, different kinds of statements apply to each. For classification purpose it should be made clear which is this item for, without couraging contradicting usage. So that if I query buildings, then I don't get organizations, and vice versa. I assume this item currently is primarliy for buildings, most external databases linked also describe it as building, and so it seems more appropriate to break the organization link, rather than building link. Instances that are not buildings, of course need fixing eventually. The situation for these instances is currently messy anyway and fixing the class item for a start would at least provide some guideance on how to clear things up. If necessary, and if some more generic business class isn't sufficent for these, then probably separate item for factory as organization can be created. Or what do you suggest then, break the building link instead here and create new "factory building" class item? 2001:7D0:81F7:B580:28DC:2305:A430:90FC 19:01, 27 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A factory, a museum, a church, etc. all refer to multiple aspects. The world is not black and white and your assumption is wrong. Follow the example of museum building (Q24699794) & church building (Q16970) and don't mess up the subclass tree.
By the way. Please create an account. It's impossible to communicate someone who constantly switches ipaddress. Multichill (talk) 20:03, 27 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Your examples illustrate exactly my point. These items are for buildings while organization classes are museum (Q33506), church congregation (Q2638480) or alike. Some Wikipedia article may cover these multiple aspects, and word can be used in strict or broad sense, but this does not mean that the distinction doesn't exist. As described above this distinction is important on Wikidata, where we should strive for accurate classification of both buildings and organizations. My intention was to clear up the subclass tree (or at least make the first step towards it), not the otherway around. I generally check talk pages where I've participated lately and have been able to communicate with other users just fine. 2001:7D0:81F7:B580:28DC:2305:A430:90FC 20:36, 27 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Is there some broader problem due to breaking the organization link, other than particular instances that need fixing? Maybe I can suggest a fix there. 2001:7D0:81F7:B580:28DC:2305:A430:90FC 20:40, 27 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
