Different names

Hi @Epìdosis: You've merged Johann Engelbert Kinckius with Engelbert Theodor Kinckius (Q121518020) since they both died in 1708. I've found no proof that they are identical. Imho using said to be the same as (P460) would be better. --Kolja21 (talk) 19:03, 15 July 2024 (UTC)

@Kolja21: strange case: Engelbert Theodor Kinckius died in 1708 and active in Leipzig is a well known figure, as also attested in other authority files; instead, I'm unable to find reliable source regarding a Johann Engelbert Kinckius - its Deutsche Biographie https://www.deutsche-biographie.de/sfz40966.html has only two links to a Johann Kinckius in ADB and NDB, but he is clearly Johann Kinckius (Q55125048): no description = https://d-nb.info/gnd/133476456. This Johann Kinckius is the father of Johann Anton Kinckius, who is the father of Engelbert Theodor Kinckius. BTW, the only use I see of https://d-nb.info/gnd/137739028 is https://search.obvsg.at/primo-explore/fulldisplay?docid=OBV_alma71368270700003331 which could well be attributed to the other one, https://d-nb.info/gnd/1037519582. Whilst https://d-nb.info/gnd/137739028 mentions "NDB/ADB-online" as sources, I cannot find the form "Johann Engelbert" in ADB/NDB ... I would just propose to delete https://d-nb.info/gnd/137739028 in conclusion, it seems to be a confusion between granfather Johann and grandson Engelbert Theodor (IMHO). --Epìdosis 07:29, 16 July 2024 (UTC)

• His oldest son: Johann Anton Kinckius (Q94852801) (d. 1679/1680), married to Maria Richmud Dulman.
  • The son of Johann Anton K. and Maria Richmud Dulman: "Nach ihrem Tode ging das Geschäft auf ihren Sohn Johann Engelbert K. über, der 1708 gestorben ist und einen nur unbedeutenden Verlag aufzuweisen hatte."
