Why on Wikidata?[edit]

Why has this template been copied to Wikidata? How do you plan to use it here? And for what? Capankajsmilyo (talk) 02:02, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks. I thought, you found a way to centralise modules/templates. Capankajsmilyo (talk) 14:26, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I know, there is no way to call a template or module in one wiki from another wiki so everything must be cloned (and often adapted to the wiki's locale).

PubMed ID number name not linking properly[edit]

See for example

  • Vishal B Siramshetty; Janette Nickel; Christian Omieczynski; Bjoern-Oliver Gohlke; Malgorzata N Drwal; Robert Preissner (8 November 2015). "WITHDRAWN--a resource for withdrawn and discontinued drugs". Nucleic Acids Research. 44 (D1): D1080-6. doi:10.1093/NAR/GKV1192. ISSN 0305-1048. PMC 4702851. PMID 26553801. Wikidata Q36434790.View profile on Scholia

There are four identifiers: doi, PMC, PMID, and Wikidata. All of them link properly except PMID/PubMed ID (P698). I looked at the code and did not see anything different about 698. This is not urgent but it is a bug. Blue Rasberry (talk) 14:30, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The problem seems to be outside {{Cite Q}}; perhaps in Module:Citation/CS1? User:Trappist the monk may be able to advise. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 16:32, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

unknown[edit]

{{Cite Q|Q3345156}}

renders as:

Anonymous (1852), Ferdinand Hoefer (ed.), Nouvelle Biographie Générale (in French), Paris: Firmin-Didot Frères, Wikidata Q3345156View profile on Scholia

It currently fails, possibly due "unknown" at Q3345156#P50. --- Jura 09:45, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Jura1: I've reposted this at en:Template_talk:Cite_Q#Lua_bug, it's generally best to post bug reports like this on enwp where the module is being developed. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 16:58, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This is now fixed, in the en.Wikipedia module, which now needs to be imported to this wiki. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 19:30, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Italics in titles[edit]

Please see discussion at User talk:MargaretRDonald#Apology, about journal article titles including italicised binomial names, such as "Maireana obrienii (Chenopodiaceae), a new species from eastern Australia".
