I created several items in order to group Wikidata property related to sport (Q21818626) more logically.

Thanks for your dividing, but should this also be represented in this template ? Split up the databases-section in the above types of properties. Or maybe just between bio-profiles properties persons, teams and arenas and then the one for results and rankings ? Best regards Migrant (talk) 20:57, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Honestly, no strong opinion about navigational templates and lists.
I prefer to use metadata (instance of) as data (SPARQL queries) and "what links here" to track discussions.
There a better tool that "what links here": SQUID
E.g. tools.wmflabs.org/sqid/#/view?id=Q28106586
If some queries are too heavy/popular we can switch to static pages or use external tools. d1g (talk) 14:50, 8 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
This querying and squid-things are above my head of understanding so far, but hopefully it will be easier later to understand later. I think I stick around in wikipedia for the most but will do some edits here too as far as i can. Best regards Migrant (talk) 21:55, 8 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have just created Template:Association football properties and then moved about 30 properties from here to there. Thierry Caro (talk) 11:13, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have also initiated Template:Combat sports properties, Template:Cycling properties, Template:Racket sports properties and Template:Winter sports properties. Now the original template is smaller and more readable. Thierry Caro (talk) 11:52, 14 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, good idea. I already thought about making this template collapsible, but this separation into “sub-templates” is IMHO even better. Regards, MisterSynergy (talk) 12:08, 14 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
