Alen Vodopijevec is a systems librarian at Rudjer Bošković Institute, Croatia's leading scientific institute in the natural and biomedical sciences. Hi has a wast experience in development, implementation, integration and maintenance of various information systems, databases, search engines and other digital library systems (national bibliography of scientists, institutional digital repository, search interface for electronic resources, etc.). His skills and specializations include: systems, database and computer networks administration and computer programming. He was involved in SERSCIDA project as an expert for software tools implementation for data archiving infrastructure and currently holds an active role in promoting open access in science participating in FOSTER and OpenAire EU projects. He has a master's degree in Sociology.
