What state am I in?

My three pseudos are: the Pilgrim of the Vallon de Bouchère (for relatives and friends), the Man of the Plateau or the Man of the Lower Valley (for all others).

My first contribution to wikipedia was in 2011. I also participate in Commons.

I am passionate about the rural world in general and rural territories in particular, which have been weakened by globalization.

Mayor of a small municipality (mandate 2008 - 2014), Nestier, I regularly update the wikipedian article of this high-Pyrenean village which is also my native village.

Because of their universality, sustainability and interactivity, these wikipedian articles are a tool for safeguarding and preserving the collective memory of our villages, thus offering them an indelible identity mark.

Generally speaking, these articles on small municipalities (pop < 500 hours), most of which are still in the draft stage, should be given more detailed information. Another way to create collaborative, modern and innovative digital monographs, sourced and referenced, succeeding traditional monographs such as those, for example, imposed in 1887 by the rector of the Academy of Toulouse on all the teachers of this academy.

This approach could be carried out in liaison with the memory institutions (territorial archives, learned societies...) themselves connected and presenting today almost all their digitized documents, sources and references for writing these articles.
