Source vs Qualifier[edit]

Please do not re-use an item[edit]

Hello Alain Schneider, I noticed you re-used item Q18337930 for content not slightly related to the content it originally had. Please don't do that. External parties that use our items to link to get confused by this way of treating content. Therefore and according to wikidata policy I have turned the item into a redirect. Noms[edit]

Merci de ne pas créer de doublons (le nom russe existait déjà Azimov (Q16479712)) et de lire au moins les règles de base sur les noms. Nommer les gens, en vrai c'est compliqué, donc sur Wiokidata, logiquement, c'est compliqué aussi, mais c'est à ça que servent les pages d'aide. N'hésitez pas à poser des questions si ce n'est pas clair, je suis toujours ravie d'aider mais il est agaçant de nettoyer plusieurs fois les mêmes entrées dans la même journée. Globalement, il faut toujours prêter attention à native label (P1705) et ne pas hésiter à utiliser les gadgets qui facilitent le nettoyage des éléments. --Harmonia Amanda (talk) 15:25, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Would you like to contribute to a WikiProject COVID-19 ?[edit]

Hello,

I saw you contributed to COVID-19 (Q84263196) and I was wondering if you would be interested in helping to create a Wikidata WikiProject COVID-19.

The goals would be initially (of course, they can be changed):

create a data model for instances of disease outbreak (Q3241045).

monitor the quality of the pages about national outbreaks listed in 2019–20 COVID-19 outbreak by country and territory (Q83741704).

curate the wikidata items relevant for describing the outbreaks and the virus itself.

curate and improve the information on Wikidata about scientific articles regarding the coronavirus (similar to the Wikidata:WikiProject_Zika_Corpus).

think and develop ways to process these items to improve access to information (for example, via automated articles in languages that currently do not have pages about country-specific outbreaks).

Would you like to participate in this effort?

I am trying to gather the Wikidata editors actively involved in the topic.I believe that if we act together, we can have a shot at aiding the global effort in containing the pandemic.

licentiate thesis and bachelor thesis[edit]

Hi,

I'm wondering why you revised these items to state that they are duplicate items? Are these types of thesis the same? I wouldn't have supposed that they represent the identical concept. According to Wikipedia: "Licentiate (degree), a degree below a PhD granted by universities in some countries; may indicate a medical doctor qualification in the UK and other countries." This implies that licentiate is not always a bachelor's degree, and therefore I don't see how licentiate thesis and bachelor's thesis are equivalent. Bonjour @Alain Schneider: j'ai vu votre annulation de ma modification sur l'élément Q150.
Décrit simplement comme "langue romane", j'avais changé en "langue d'oïl" pour plus de précision. Comment ce choix de rester sur "langue romane" est-il justifié ? A-t-il été discuté quelque part ? Je ne comprends pas l'intérêt de s'arrêter à un échelon intermédiaire tel que "langue romane". Autant prendre l'échelon le plus large : "langue indo-européenne", ou bien le plus précis : "langue d'oïl", non ?

Le SIREN désigne une unité légale, ce qui correspond sur Wikidata à une organisation, soit une entité immatérielle qui agit comme une personne. Le SIRET est attaché à un établissement, c'est-à-dire une implantation physique d'une organisation. Ce sont par définition des concepts différents.
