Merging items

Hallo Benoît Prieur,

When you are merging items, please use the Merge.js gadget. It helps you nominating, gives the option to always keep the lower number (which is older, so preferable) and makes it a lot easier for the admins to process the requests.

I just added this gadget that I did not know in my Preferences.

I did not know the implicit rule consisting in preferring the lower number too.

It's implicit, indeed, so you can't be blamed for missing it. If you use the gadget you can select the option to keep the lower number and the nomination will be towards the lower. Also using it prevents from entering stuff in labels, like {{DELETE}}; I have to revert that before I can complete the merger each time. With the gadget admins just need to tick a box. Wikibase

You can find the fork of Wikibase at [1] - though I haven't changed much in that fork lately, there are still many breaking changes I would like to do to the interface. I am using that fork as the basis of my User:TambonBot (Code at [2], but the Wikidata part is only a small part of that project).

The pages linked are all in the dictionary returned by Entity.getSitelinks() (which IMHO should be a readonly dictionary property, not a method). Unlike the web UI here where sites and languages are at a different level, all of the different sites and languages are in this one dictionary same as they are in the JSON object of the wikibase API. You just need to know the identifiers - e.g. "enwiki" is the English Wikipedia. Ahoerstemeier (talk) 21:52, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

I began to "play" with the fork you provided me.

Actually I don't need this stuff but it seems the exception with geolocalisation data is thrown with your fork too => for example try to get Q11981. You can reproduce this exception with asDouble stuff with latitude, longitude etc.

I will contact you as soon as I did some relevant dev with you API.

Pour François Haffner, à occupation, j'essaie de rajouter « collectionneur de jeux de société », c'est à ce titre largement plus qu'à celui d'auteur qu'il est notoire. Mais le bouton save reste grisé, impossible d'enregistrer mes modifs :-/ Peux-tu m'aider ?
