FIPS[edit]

LG Dionysos1988 (talk) 19:16, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Creation of Items without Sources[edit]

Could you please add reference(s) to the items that you create, as well as to the statements that you add, to make them verifiable, per WD:S; otherwise they are subject to deletion and/or administrator notification. Existing items include Wausau-Weston, WI Metropolitan Statistical Area (Q111470868), Waterbury-Shelton metropolitan area (Q122838070), Sandusky metropolitan area (Q122839607), Pinehurst–Southern Pines metropolitan area (Q122839652), Helena metropolitan area (Q122839914), Minot metropolitan area (Q122839950), Traverse City metropolitan area (Q122840085), Slidell-Mandeville-Covington metropolitan area (Q122840119), Kenosha metropolitan area (Q122840163), Eagle Pass metropolitan area (Q122841046), Bozeman metropolitan area (Q122841058), and Amherst Town–Northampton metropolitan area (Q122841067). -- DCflyer* (talk) 05:00, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your advice. What is your suggestion how to verify areas which have not yet existed in 2020? Is it possible to add the county numbers? Regarding the first one: The source of the Wausau MSA is correct for 2020. Is there a need to add another source, as the MSA has changed thereafter? Stefan (talk) 08:49, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Dionysos1988, the item Wausau-Weston, WI Metropolitan Statistical Area (Q111470868) is unsourced: It has an invalid URL ([1] as a reference for population (P1082), and lacks reference(s) for instance of (P31), located in the administrative territorial entity (P131), contains the administrative territorial entity (P150), and FIPS 6-4 (P882). The references that you use are the URLs from where you retrieved this data/information, as they would not be considered common knowledge.
You have proceeded to create three more items for MSAs without any sourcing: Honolulu metropolitan area (Q122851392), Tucson metropolitan area (Q122851217), and Fresno metropolitan area (Q122851523). If you continue to ignore Wikidata's guidelines for verifiability, this and the previous discussion will continue at the Wikidata administrators' noticeboard. -- DCflyer* (talk) 10:11, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Would you please show me this guideline, where a new item has to be verified? Recently I extended the existing item of the Bakersfield-Delano MSA, and this item has already been completely unsourced as well. Stefan (talk) 10:22, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Right now I added the OMB Bulletin as a source, this should be fine. Stefan (talk) 11:08, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
