Correct use of P291

[edit]

Hello, I've seen that you use West Germany (Q713750) when giving place of publication (P291). This is not correct because this is no Country. Correct is Germany (Q183) as you also can see in no:Vest-Tyskland: "Vest-Tyskland var en uformell betegnelse som ble brukt om Forbundsrepublikken Tyskland". It only describes a historical period and is no claim for a country in difference of no:Øst-Tyskland (correct DDR) which was a country of its own. Quite similar is the use of Hong Kong (Q8646) (China) for the old Martial Arts Films, which isn't correct also. Here British Hong Kong (Q1054923) is right (territory of the United Kingdom from 1841 to 1997). Please take this into account in the future and don't delete valid sources! This is bull. Movies released in West-Germany was usually not released in East. They had no say in DDR and vice versa.--Ezzex (talk) 11:39, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Obviously you don't understand that there is or was no country called West Germany, only Germany (Q183) (Bundesrepublik Deutschland, founded in 1949 and still lasting) and Deutsche Demokratische Republik (German Democratic Republic (Q16957)) as explained above. You are still manipulating Wikidata in your favour. You don't own Wikidata nor is Wikidata owned by the Norwegian Wikipedia. As User:Asav pointed out in this discussion you are free to use a template but you have to deal with "problems" of your own and not to create errors here [1] because there are some skills missing. If you want links to Britisk Hongkong in your Infobox create a redirect to no:Hongkong#Britisk_herredømme and add it to British Hong Kong (Q1054923) as others did, too, example given. -- 2001:4090:A246:818C:C531:1689:7D73:4AFD 12:00, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Category:States and territories established in 1949--Ezzex (talk) 12:10, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This is weak. Wikidata is no source, only a collection of data where many people add things they do not understand. Check your home Wiki, it is explained there. West Germany is only a term used to indicate the Federal Republic of Germany between 1949 and 1990, not more. -- 2001:4090:A246:818C:C531:1689:7D73:4AFD
«On 22 November 1949, Chancellor Konrad Adenauer signed the Petersberg Agreement, under which it was recognized that the sovereignty of West Germany remained limited»[2]. Further: «The Petersberg Agreement is an international treaty that extended the rights of the government of West Germany vis-a-vis the occupying forces of the United Kingdom, France, and the United States. It is viewed as the first major step of West Germany towards sovereignty.»--Ezzex (talk) 12:52, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Again: Wikipedia is no source and the writer used a term to do it simple that does no mean that this is correct. By the way is it funny that a Norwegian guy wants to give lessons in German history without any knowlege, only by interpreting sentence fragments of any Wikipedia. I gave you an advice but you don't check the sources and want to write a NEW GERMAN HISTORY. What do you think, is this really the way a real Wiukipedian should work or do you like senseless debates just to be the winner? OK, you won, but correct your errors. -- 2001:4090:A246:818C:C531:1689:7D73:4AFD 13:23, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think you should correct your own errors and mind your own business.--Ezzex (talk) 13:28, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Noir

[edit]
