Puerto Rico is NOT a country[edit]

I've replaced some of your edits where you've labeled country (P17)=Puerto Rico (Q1183), but it's not a country (P17). It's an unincorporated territory (Q183366). Regards. Trilotat (talk) 19:36, 4 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Trilotat: I appreciate the fact that you warned me of this situation. The items that have edit are like Puerto Rico at the 2016 Summer Olympics (Q19969352). You have removed country (P17)=Puerto Rico (Q1183) (well done!) and add country (P17)=United States of America (Q30) + located in the administrative territorial entity (P131)=Puerto Rico (Q1183). I dont agree with the statements that you add, I going to replace with country for sport (P1532)=Puerto Rico (Q1183), but only in the items with this type. Joao4669 (talk) 19:01, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Note, you've also made edits that reflect Guam as country for sport, but Guam is also a territory (not a country). See Guam at the 1988 Winter Olympics (Q142066). I do appreciate that you're making these edits, but I am not sure why you removed Country: USA.
@Trilotat: From Olympic perspective Guam, Puerto Rico and the United States are on the same level, so in this context, I think the United States should not be mentioned. Joao4669 (talk) 01:02, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I understand. Thanks for the clarification. IOC rules weren't the same as the UN's... I now understand the rule. Trilotat (talk) 02:29, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Joao4669 (talk) 09:20, 20 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Muito obrigado pela disponibilidade. Saudações, GualdimG (talk) 09:24, 20 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@GualdimG: não descobri maneira de fazer o pretendido. Boa sorte, Joao4669 (talk) 18:13, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Olá Joao4669! Obrigado pelo esforço e tempo despendido. Saudações, GualdimG (talk) 18:34, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You crashed my script![edit]

You have repeatedly crashed my script now by causing edit conflicts. For example this night at Q71309958 and Q71291341. There are millions of items, why do you have to edit those in the same time when I am? Steak (talk) 07:46, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Steak: I sorry for that, I was not aware of any edit conflicts, so now I will check if you are not editing. Joao4669 (talk) 07:53, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Steak (talk) 08:15, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Q5055304[edit]

You fixed the title at Cayetano Coll y Toste (Q5055304) but the dates of birth and death are still vandalized. --RAN (talk) 17:29, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ): You are correct. I fix what I feel like doing at that moment. Best regards, Joao4669 (talk) 17:40, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I guess the errors can stay that way. Now it looks like someone fixed the entry when they click on my message and see that the title has been fixed. Thanks! --RAN (talk) 17:44, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ): Your message doesn't say anything about the title has been vandalized, Joao4669 (talk) 18:13, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced party color[edit]

Hi there, João. I noticed you reverted an edit in Left Bloc (Q884840), re-adding an RGB color triplet to the item. Note that I removed the property because that specific shade of red is not (as far as I know) backed by any official source. What is documented (and as you can see in the official color property of that item) is that the party's logo colors are described simply as red on a white background. Notice the references in that statement with the quote from Tribunal Constitucional.

You may compare with a similar item, Volt Portugal (Q97303443), whose logo colors are explicitly described in official sources as being Pantone 268 C, which does correspond to a specific RGB triplet, #582C83. The same degree of specificity is not present for Bloco de Esquerda's colors.

Are you aware of any sources that could back the #D21F1B RGB triplet for Bloco de Esquerda? --Waldyrious (talk) 15:33, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Viva @Waldyrious:, na verdade aquela cor era só um vermelho com um tom diferente do vermelho do PCP. Este site diz que a cor oficial do Bloco é a "Pantone 485 C" e este site diz que corresponde ao código HEX DA291C. Vou então actualizar a cor do Bloco. Cumprimentos, Joao4669 (talk) 18:33, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Excelente recurso!
--Waldyrious (talk) 10:12, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Labels for localities in Mexico[edit]

Hi!

I've noticed you adding labels to various locations in Mexico that are covered by INEGI data. I think that's great! As you might know, I'm currently trying to get the coordinates fixed using the INEGI data. That data also contains the (Spanish) names of the localities, and I was just wondering if it could be helpful in any way. Streetmathematician (talk) 19:29, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Streetmathematician:, congratulations in finding the fix for the "The Mexican Grid" problem, if you want to also add information like the label, description or the height above mean sea level it would be great, but do what you like to do the most and have fun. Call for participation in a task-based online experiment[edit]

Dear Joao4669,

I hope you are doing good,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender system that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our system based on your previous edits. Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. We will analyse the results anonymised, and they will be published to a research venue.

The study will start in late January 2022 or early February 2022, and it should take no more than 30 minutes.

If you agree to participate in this study, please either contact me at kholoud.alghamdi@kcl.ac.uk or use this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSees9WzFXR0Vl3mHLkZCaByeFHRrBy51kBca53euq9nt3XWog/viewform?usp=sf_link I will contact you with the link to start the study.

For more information about the study, please read this post: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User:Kholoudsaa In case you have further questions or require more information, don't hesitate to contact me through my mentioned email.

Thank you for considering taking part in this research.

Regards
