I see that you have begun mass deleting pages on srwikinews, which has left their corresponding Wikidata items mostly empty. Should I delete all of their corresponding items once you are done?
User talk:Kizule
Yes, sure.
So you and Amir Sarabadani's bot are both mass deleting thousands of pages. These all will show up on this page (beware, opening it right now will slow your browser down) and, given this large amount that will end up in one place, I am now not quite sure that I can delete them all automatically or semi-automatically (at this point manual deletion is practically speaking out of the question).
I no know what you should do, I am not admin of this wiki. For my changes, you can delete pages automaticly.
@MisterSynergy: Do you know of an automatic or semi-automatic way to delete all of these pages? (I'm not sure if Special:Nuke is able to help us here.)
Coincidentally, I have already started deleting the empty srwikinews category items a few minutes ago. We have substantial numbers of empty meta items (templates, categories, etc) each week, thus I have some experience with efficient deletion procedures of them… I’ll have a look at the empty templates as well, they will show up at Wikidata:Database reports/to delete soon (or have already).
Ok, thanks @MisterSynergy. You doing it via bot or?
@MisterSynergy: I imported "MediaWiki:Gadget-massdelete.js" from the English Wikisource. I tried it with ten pages and it seems to help a lot. Why don't you try it out yourself? (Just add it to your common.js and then visit Special:MassDelete.)
Mahir, this seems to be a bit risky, to be honest. From my experience there is quite a reasonable amount of items which appear to qualify for deletion, but actually they do not for various reasons. Before I delete an item, I thus check against several criteria in order to avoid deletions by mistake. Mind that we do not have an equivalent "massrestore" gadget in case something goes wrong :-) Anyway, since I am doing this each week, I have experience in doing this efficiently, so you don’t have to worry about the time I have to invest into this. It is a bit, but it is part of my Wikidata activity and I am okay with it.
Zoranzoki21, please have a look at n:sr:Посебно:ТраженеКатегорије. There is a reasonable amount of nonexisting categories in use, some of which stem from this batch. :n:sr:Категорија:Време: Европа, 26. децембар 2010. would be an example. Can you please try to remove non-existent categories from pages?
FWIW, massrestore exists.
I don't think that this is the case anymore. The linked category is empty. As this was before 6 years, I'm having a little bit of hard time to remember everything from the past.
That special page needs checking and cleanup anyways, I'll probably do it one day, at the moment I'm very busy for handling that.
@MisterSynergy I working it already. Categories will be empty for few hours.
I was not suggesting, MisterSynergy, that the gadget would be an acceptable substitute for reasonable discretion when it comes to deleting items, but would act as a supplement to it. You can certainly check items against different criteria to avoid mistaken deletions (and in fact I would do the same for things more non-trivial than empty category and template items), but instead of visiting the deletion page for each page individually when you've determined that an item should be deleted, you can simply add it to the list in Special:MassDelete and then run all the deletions at once.
Also, @MisterSynergy:, from a quick look at the code, it seems that building an equivalent restore gadget will probably come down to a few simple changes to the source code of the mass delete gadget. I will see about making these changes soon.
@MisterSynergy@Mahir256 I did this again, can you delete please?
Sure, already done. @HakanIST also deleted several of those items.
Thanks!

You reverted a fix I made to my own contribution, back to what I had first supplied, which is contradiction to what the example for that property states, and breaks the formatter, why did you do this? ~~~~
