Intervention[edit]

Greetings, User:Pasleim! En route to contacting you about questionable content on a Wikidata item, I became curious about this page. Reading through, I found a number of corrections I could perform manually. I sincerely hope all is clear in the page's history, and that my edits didn't disrupt the PLbot's activity! Please let me know if I (polyglot, >3K Wikidata edits) can offer further help in this or a similar capacity. -- Cheers, Deborahjay (talk) 14:27, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Deborahjay: Thanks for your edits. It's perfectly fine to remove entries from the list or to add additional information. You didn't disrupt PLbot's activity. --Pasleim (talk) 15:06, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How to "Mark as patrolled"?[edit]

@Pasleim: if I inspect an item placed on the list by the PLbot and find that the use of upper case in a label or description is legitimate (e.g. an acronym such as UNESCO), how do I indicate that the bot should subsequently ignore the item? Is this what's meant by "mark as patrolled"? I need to know how to process this properly. -- Cheers, Deborahjay (talk) 05:57, 18 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Update: I've observed how the PLbot functions (i.e., reviews Recent Changes every two hours), such that anything fixed since its previous round will be removed without any additional action on an editor's part. N.B. ...which might be relevant if the list were much longer and/or several people were working on it.) I still need an explanation: how to "mark as patrolled" an item whose suspicious content I've reviewed and approve to leave stet. Thanks! -- Deborahjay (talk) 13:23, 19 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

To remove a legitimate entry from the list, you have to possibilities:
  1. just remove the line from the report as you already did in [1]
  2. On Special:Diff/579246425 you should see a link "[Mark as patrolled]" in the diff view. All edits which are marked as patrolled will be removed from the report. More information about patrolling you can find on Wikidata:Patrol. --Pasleim (talk) 17:36, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Alias?[edit]

Your tool check only label and description or also Alias? In first case can you add also a check on alias? --ValterVB (talk) 18:59, 10 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Aliases are also checked. --Pasleim (talk) 17:03, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
