Hoi Ronald,

Weet je nog dat je ooit een serie Italiaanse IP-adressen hebt geblokkeerd? Nu hebben ze 't zelfde gedaan 151.40.183.151 14:29, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi my account is IP blocked on nl:Wikipedia

The block was made by ‪RonaldB‬. The reason given is Open proxy - Nadere informatie.

Start of block: 02:57, 12 August 2019 Expiration of block: infinite Intended blockee: 79.136.0.0/17

.... Your current IP address is 79.136.51.53, and the block ID is #942115.

Nobelprize.org and Europeana I am trying to fix 2 things that maybe needs to be discussed on nl:Wikipedia or if you think its an good idea just implement it

  1. Problems with link rot to Nobelprize.org. nl:WIkipåedia has articles about 942 Nobelprize winners and we have now with the help of Nobelprize.org developed a new linking modell using unique ids and Wikidata Property 8024 link and we have an example template en:template:Nobelprize and a task T251055 for pushing this information to all wiki
  2. I have connected Europeana 160 000 persons with Wikidata T240290 Property 7704  and now some Wikipedias has added a link to Europeana in the nl:Sjabloon:Authority_control see task T241677

If you either could help me do this on nl:Wikipedia / open up my IP.number / or inform the correct people on nl:Wikipedia that would be great. Please keep me updated what is happening - Salgo60 (talk) 07:42, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi RonaldB, I was just wondering if you can set up something like nl:Wikipedia:Open proxy detectie for Wikidata as well. I think that might be helpful. --Ameisenigel (talk) 21:46, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I also have since 2012 a system running, that is checking all wikis. It is not reporting on the wiki, but results are written to a database. Just queried the results for wikidata. In those 10 years only 160 edits (for all wikis 1 million), made by far less different proxies (roughly 120). Hence on the average less than 1 per month. Most proxies are from a server or cloud. Would it be useful here? - Rgds RonaldB (talk) 01:13, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for checking. If there are so few cases it is probably not that useful. --Ameisenigel (talk) 10:10, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Ameisenigel
Had today a bit more time to recheck my own conclusions and found that I made an error when querying my database. Hence I revert my earlier conclusion. Will later this week extend my server to include reporting to: Wikidata:Open proxy detection, while using Template:BLIP1 for the row definitions. - Rgds RonaldB (talk) 01:07, 22 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
