Hi there! It seems you made quite a mess of this item that has taken me well over an hour to clean up. I can understand the confusion that led you uastray, but in future, try to look at the oldest edits on an item before you decide which way an item should go. In this case you attempted to remove all mentions of one painting by Jacob van Ruisdael in favor of an incorrectly linked painting by Claude-Joseph Vernet, which has its own item now. I only just noticed the damage, so please be careful with how you remove data, especially catalog references. Jane023 (talk) 12:08, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the message. Sorry about your wasted time. Cannot reconstruct anymore which problem led me to go so deep into the article. Why didn't you just set back everything to the version prior to my modifications? Anyway, I learned that in doubt it is always better to create a new item than rewrite something profoundly.
