Merging items[edit]

Hallo The RedBurn,

For merging items, you may want to use the merge.js gadget from help page about merging. It has an option "Request deletion for extra items on RfD" to automatically place a request to delete the emptied page. This way of nominating makes it a lot easier for the admins to process the requests.

Hello Cycn,
I've actually used it, as you can see in the edit summary. Same thing for the delete request. Is it an automatic message? The RedBurn (ϕ) 13:57, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Oh great. Sometimes I miss that.
This message is not automated, but it is scripted. You can find it on this page: User:Cycn/merge. - User:CycnUser:CycnUser:CycnUser:Cycn - (Cycn/talk) 14:00, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Pokemon[edit]

Hallo,

I checked, as I did the first time I didn't delete Q12015638. The families in this item include 2 other pokemon that have articles on certain wikis. evolutionary line of Bulbasaur (Q12015638) does replace Bulbasaur (Q847571) on the ca, fr and pt wikis, but also Ivysaur (Q1636903) and Venusaur (Q2283930), so they cannot be merged as they would then need to be merged to 3 items... - User:CycnUser:CycnUser:CycnUser:Cycn - (Cycn/talk) 15:16, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I now understand why you reverted it. Sorry I insisted. By the way, I discovered the "composed of" property, thanks! The RedBurn (ϕ) 15:47, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I saw there are quite a few "families" like this. I've done this and another one, but the others should be connected the same way some time, I think. If you have any questions or remarks, please don't hasitate to ask me on my talk page. - User:CycnUser:CycnUser:CycnUser:Cycn - (Cycn/talk) 07:51, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

LibreOffice[edit]

Bonjour,

Product model - redundance[edit]

[1] is redundant. The information that the item is a subclass of hammer drill is already stored in the subclass statement. It is therefore sufficient to state "instance of model". A subclass of model for each subclass of product is redundant anywhere. User:Ghouston brought that up on Wikidata:Project chat#Android smartphone model - a class that I had created. After he brought it up I replaced all my "instance of Android smartphone model". MrProperLawAndOrder (talk) 14:58, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I was actually wondering about that, MrProperLawAndOrder, thanks! Now, should hammer drill model (Q23811264) and rotary hammer model (Q92733828) be removed? The RedBurn (ϕ) 16:05, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You mean delete from Wikidata? I think yes. Maybe you can also comment at Wikidata:Project chat#Android smartphone model. One other person just wrote that he created video game console model and also found it confusing. No we are at least three editors that created at least one X model, but each of us thinks it is redundant. MrProperLawAndOrder (talk) 21:16, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Commons redundancy[edit]

Another redundancy (stating same thing twice), under discussion at Wikidata:Properties for deletion#P373. MrProperLawAndOrder (talk) 20:02, 2 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
