Request for deletion of cats

[edit]

I've requested the deletion of Q28147065 and Q28147093 at Wikidata:Requests for deletions#Q28147065. Please comment there if you wish.--Pharos (talk) 00:38, 31 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Viapicante,

I'm not sure if you received the notifications, please see Wikidata:Requests_for_deletions#Q43116599. It would be good if we could agree on a minimum number of films.

Massive amounts of edits

[edit]

Hi Viapicante, could you explain the massive amounts of entries you've created for patently unencyclopedic subjects, such as that of this which literally is just the imaginative works (aka a hoax) of a high school kid? Praxidicae (talk) 21:50, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please respond about your creations and editing

[edit]

There have been numerous attempts to seek comment for your editing. I am here with one last effort.

Your posts look very similar to those who have been paid editors. I would like to give you an opportunity to put light on your edits, and your interests and how you believe that your edits and creations align with our inclusion data as expressed at wikidata:notability. Some have left comment and not followed up, unfortunately I am not that accommodating. If you do not reply, or do not seem to have what I consider a legitimate explanation for your edits, I will be escalating this to administrators. I will be pushing for a review of every creation that you have undertaken and have it considered for deletion. I will be exploring where you have been editing and in cases of dubious edits I will be tracking those items and the account creators.

As you can see I have a particular dislike of the abuse of our system. So many years of responding to spam, so I look forward to hearing your explanation and hoping that this interesting editing of yours is not problematic.  — billinghurst sDrewth 10:53, 14 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dan. Also be interested in addressing the components around Upwork too. Thanks.  — billinghurst sDrewth 11:51, 14 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. I responded to another user's talk page over a similar issue last month, but I never heard back from them about it. All of my contributions to wiki are completely voluntary. Regarding wikidata:notability, most of my contributions fulfill a structural need to make statements made in other items more useful. I have declined several paid attempts to edit wiki because I am very aware not everyone is eligible. Recently, I have discovered some of those previous contributions have become targeted by subjects of spam and misuse which has put me in hot water. I completely understand how it looks, but my intent as a contributor is not malicious. I do work separately on Upwork with search engine optimization and knowledge panel coding from schema.org. I enjoy contributing in my free time and would like to continue. If you need additional information from me, please let me know. Thank you.  — Viapicante 16:39, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I notice you've still not been forthcoming about your paid editing and clients, which is against the Wikimedia foundations terms of use. Praxidicae (talk) 11:11, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. Thank you for your follow up. My last message from February is my response, which I confirmed is only voluntary contributions. Based on your response now, I'm not sure if you saw that message or not. Again, I have not received any paid work for my contributions on wiki, therefore I am not against terms of use.  — Viapicante 22:47, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That is simply not true, but have a nice day. Praxidicae (talk) 13:32, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I do wish there was some way I could prove that information. But I have complied as asked, and I simply don't understand how saying I am not truthful in the components I was asked about negates my response. I was told I should respond, so I did with explanation. I am unsure how to prove it or if proving my voluntary status on wiki is necessary. Viapicante 00:00, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
