Sanskrit property labels[edit]

Why do your labels for some properties in Sanskrit sound like they are worded as questions? Mahir256 (talk) 18:52, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

An extraordinary property of sanskrit is that the word order does not matter (unlike hindI or English). So, "is part of" is adequate in English to express the directionality of a relationship (A is part of B). But in sanskrit, "अस्यैतद् भागः" is completely confusing as it could mean "A is part of B" or "B is part of A". On top of it, sanskrit is inflectional - so "is part of" just cannot be expressed without using the (inflected) words. Hence, "भागः कस्य?" makes the relationship crystal clear. I am open to alternative suggestions. Vishvas vasuki (talk) 20:27, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Done Vishvas विश्वासः (talk) 03:15, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure about the last two sets (the comedies)? Your word for "comedy" and word for "tragedy" look exactly the same to me. --EncycloPetey (talk) 21:41, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ah sorry - fixed now. Vishvas विश्वासः (talk) 01:56, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
