Hey[edit]

You've been active long enough that I'm willing to accept that this isn't just some random bozo spamming. Can you explain why you feel it meets inclusion criteria? DS (talk) 16:30, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Good morning, DS.
You’re correct: I am not some random bozo spamming. I’ll be honest, I created the item without thinking specifically about Wikidata’s notability criteria, but I think I can make a pretty good argument for its creation.
1. Related items - Furry, furry fandom and furry art are all existing Wikidata items. Fleurfurr is among the most recognizable furry artists and members of the furry fandom.
2. Social media following - Fleurfurr has more than 100,000 followers on X. How many politicians, government officials, actors, writers, journalists, etc. have Wikidata items and yet have much smaller followings and arguably less name recognition?
3. Contribution to popular culture - Fleurfurr’s illustrations have contributed to furry meme culture and meme culture in general. See this example.
Hope this helps. WikiBunny2K1 (talk) 17:35, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
#1 and #3, I won't comment on, but never assume that someone is notable (either in terms of Wikipedia or Wikidata) because of how many followers they have on social media.
You can buy fake followers. DS (talk) 03:42, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, please provide your sources (e.g, where'd you get this?). DS (talk) 02:07, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
