Hello,

thanks for this edit. When you remove that kind of false information from wikidata, you should also edit the project that is indicated as source, or the info will be back, through one tool or another -> see here -

Have a nice day, --Hsarrazin (talk) 13:32, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me, I did not know I should do it, I will consider it from now on, greetings, --Ytha67 (talk) 13:38, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
don't excuse yourself : it's just a matter of logic : when wrong info comes from a specific project, the only way to prevent it to be re-impored (there are many tools and bots that do it regularly) is to remove the wrong source... besides, it's also a favor to the project that have wrong info and a good way to show all projects that cooperation is the best way to fight vandalism :)

Ulla Pia[edit]

Please note that Gammel Holte (Q12313473) just north of Copenhagen is the actual place of death of Ulla Pia (Q177618) and is marked as preferred. --Hjart (talk) 11:58, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hjart It was I who made that edition, there is a problem with showing two towns in other wikis, even if it is a preferred place, through the conversation channels it has been asked to leave the City and not the nursing home located in the same Cophenague , Thank you, --Ytha67 (talk) 12:05, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The infoboxes in the other wikis should be fixed, in such a way that they show the preferred value only. There are lots of other people wth 2 or more death places, birth places etc, birth dates, death dates etc. in wikidata and you should not just delete those that you don't like. --Hjart (talk) 12:10, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hjart I know, I have not eliminated what I do not like, I have applied a criterion (I repeat that it was I who added the nursing home and its reference, and marked it as preferred. Leaving the city is a criterion that has been requested for uniformity. In fact I prefer to leave both, but it does not depend on the opinion of a single user to leave a statement or not, but on common sense criteria. Please avoid making value judgments, I have not changed the content because I felt like it. A cordial greeting, --Ytha67 (talk) 14:17, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
"has been requested for uniformity": who did that? You should add whatever the reference includes. If references include different precisions, one or the other can be ranked as preferred. See place of birth (P19): most specific known (e.g. city instead of country, or hospital instead of city) birth location of a person, animal or fictional character --- Jura 14:56, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Jura and User:Hjart I know, I added the reference detailing that place a few days ago. The problem has been left in the hands of whoever detected it, so that they seek the solution in WD. You are right to reverse the edit, I do not dispute it. The problem is that the infobox shows the two data, without the preference, a problem that must be solved in the affected wikis or explained in the corresponding TAB, where I hope it will be done. Sorry if I caused you problems, regards. --Ytha67 (talk) 16:06, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
