- Motivation
The ALCUIN database is a project of the University of Regensburg, and covers European thought from 500 CE to 1500. The main thrust is of authors having philosophical interest, writing in Latin. There are biographical summaries, lists of works, and extensive listings of aliases (very useful for anyone medieval).[1] Currently about 6.8K authors are covered.[2] Charles Matthews (talk) 15:53, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
