Motivation[edit]
"The ANZSOC is used in Australian Bureau of Statistics statistical collections, Statistics New Zealand statistical collections, Australian police, criminal courts and corrective services agencies and New Zealand police and justice agencies."
Another useful classification issued by Australia's peak statistical body. Crime items tend not to have many good identifiers. -- 99of9 (talk) 05:43, 10 July 2020 (UTC)

- Comment @99of9: From example law part code 13 it appears that there was a ASOC-97 code, ASOC-97(Modified) code, ASOC-2008 code and most recently ANZSOC-2011 code that could differ from each other in relation to the same offence. Is this property proposal intended to refer to the latest 2011 edition of ANZSOC? If yes, could the property name and subject item reflect that it's an identifier for the 2011 ANZSOC code scheme and not a future one that could be released in the future? --Dhx1 (talk) 15:07, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
- I'm happy to put 2011 in the name for now, and figure out if we need a new property after a later release, or if it is just circling in on a better and better classification (in which case we can just make updates and deprecate older values). I certainly don't plan to include older classifications (before NZ was invited to the party!) --99of9 (talk) 04:20, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
