Motivation[edit]

Looking at User:Nikki/P553 it seems like most website account on (P553) uses are for "user" accounts on various websites, and not so much "presentational" ones like social media (though Bluesky isn’t the only social network in there) and Bluesky is one of the sites with the most entries in that report. Either way, Bluesky seems to have a significant enough userbase to warrant its own social media account property as well.

I’m not sure about the terminology though, whether "Bluesky" is specifically for "bsky.app" or if that’s the "social layer" of the AT Protocol and could refer to any instance of an implementation of it once it actually starts being federated (similar to “Mastodon”). However, Twitter (X) username (P2002) could get renamed, so whatever this property gets named to begin with can also be changed later on once it’s relevant to do so. —Freso (talk) 20:59, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
