-- English -- To improve our coverage of professional Canadian football players. It must be noted that two difficulties were encountered while doing research for this proposal:
- a search for a player name on the Players page on the CFL website (https://www.cfl.ca/players/) links to the player's page on his team's website. Depending on the team, the ID part of the URL may be the same that the page on the cfl.ca domain, or it may be different. Examples:
- For Brandon Banks of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, the link leads to https://ticats.ca/players/152593. To get to the CFL page, one needs to replace "ticats.ca" by "cfl.ca" and manually add "/brandon-banks/" to obtain https://www.cfl.ca/players/brandon-banks/152593
- For Andrew Harris of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, the link leads to https://www.bluebombers.com/players/andrew-harris/143711/. To get to the CFL page, it is sufficent to replace "www.bluebombers.com" by "cfl.ca".
- retired players are not present on the Players page. I don't know what happens to the player page itself ; is it deleted or kept ?
-- Français-- Pour améliorer la documentation des joueurs professionnels de football canadien. À noter que les particularités suivantes ont été rencontrées lors des recherches pour faire cette demande:
- La recherche d'un joueur sur la page principale des joueurs de la LCF (https://www.cfl.ca/players/) nous amène sur la page du joueur sur le site de son équipe. Selon l'équipe en question, la partie identifiant de l'URL peut être pareille ou différente que celle de la page sur le domaine cfl.ca (ou lcf.ca). Exemples:
- Pour Brandon Banks des Tiger-Cats de Hamilton, le lien mène à https://ticats.ca/players/152593. Pour obtenir la page du site de la LCF, il faut remplacer "ticats.ca" par "cfl.ca" et ajouter manuellement "/brandon-banks/" pour obtenir https://www.cfl.ca/players/brandon-banks/152593.
- Pour Andrew Harris des Blue Bombers de Winnipeg, le lien mène à https://www.bluebombers.com/players/andrew-harris/143711/. Pour obtenir la page du site de la LCF, il suffit de remplacer "www.bluebombers.com" par "cfl.ca".
- Les joueurs à la retraite ne sont plus présents sur la page principale des joueurs (https://www.cfl.ca/players/). J'ignore ce qui arrive avec leur page; est-ell supprimée ou conservée ?
