Hard to explain... A property for the home kit of a football team. How I suggest that it will be working:
Real Madrid CF (Q8682) -> Home kit (football) property -> "Real Madrid home kit" (this is an item)
The item "Real Madrid home kit" will have all the properties of en:Template:Football kit.
property | distription |
---|---|
pattern_la | pattern modifier for left arm |
pattern_b | pattern modifier for body |
pattern_ra | pattern modifier for right arm |
pattern_sh | pattern modifier for shorts |
pattern_so | pattern modifier for socks |
leftarm | color modifier for left arm |
body | color modifier for body |
rightarm | color modifier for right arm |
shorts | color modifier for shorts |
socks | color modifier for socks |
So I am suggesting 10 properties for the football kit and 3 properties name Home kit (football), Away kit (football) and Third kit (football).
For example, that are the images and the code colors that together are forming Real Madrid home kit:
- | pattern_la = _realmadrid1617h (image for File:Kit body realmadrid1617h.png)
- | pattern_b = _realmadrid1617H (image for File:Kit body realmadrid1617H.png)
- | pattern_ra = _realmadrid1617h
- | pattern_sh = _realmadrid1617h
- | pattern_so = _realmadrid1617h
- | leftarm = FFFFFF (code for colour white (Q23444)
- | body = FFFFFF
- | rightarm = FFFFFF
- | shorts = FFFFFF
- | socks = FFFFFF

- Discussion
- Comment I think it could be enough to create a kit property, a pattern property (with commons data type) and then use existing properties (color (P462)) and qualifiers (applies to part (P518)). --Pasleim (talk) 23:35, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
- @Pasleim: Can you give an example? Xaris333 (talk) 08:36, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
- Real Madrid C.F. home kit (Q28199035). The use of image (P18) isn't ideal, so I propose to create a new property "pattern" and a property to link Real Madrid CF (Q8682) with Real Madrid C.F. home kit (Q28199035).
- @Pasleim: Ok. Looks fine. So we need a property name "pattern" and a property name "Kit" or something like that. Should I change the proposal? Xaris333 (talk) 23:21, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
- Yes I would do so. --Pasleim (talk) 10:48, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
- @Pasleim: I have changed it. Please correct anything you think is wrong. How can we show that with property "kit" in Real Madrid CF (Q8682) that Real Madrid C.F. home kit (Q28199035) is the home kit? Or the first kit? Xaris333 (talk) 17:13, 13 January 2017 (UTC)

- Oppose as it would be better to model the actual uniform, not an abstract Wikipedia template. For example, pseudo-code representation of the model may start to look like:
- "John Doe" is part of the "Global Football Club"
- "Global Football Club" has a uniform of "Global Football Club 2017 Uniform"
- "Global Football Club 2017 Uniform" has the part "Global Football Club 2017 Uniform Jersey"
- "Global Football Club 2017 Uniform Jersey" has a colour of "red", with qualifier of "base colour"
- "Global Football Club 2017 Uniform Jersey" has a colour of "blue", with qualifier of "secondary colour"
- "Global Football Club 2017 Uniform Jersey" has a pattern of "checked"
- ...etc
- "Global Football Club 2017 Uniform" has the part "Global Football Club 2017 Uniform Shorts"
- "Global Football Club 2017 Uniform Shorts" has a colour of "blue" with qualifier of "base colour"
- ...etc
- ...etc
- "Global Football Club 2017 Uniform" has the part "Global Football Club 2017 Uniform Jersey"
- "Global Football Club" has a uniform of "Global Football Club 2017 Uniform"
- What are your thoughts on this kind of approach? Dhx1 (talk) 15:56, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
@Dhx1: I really don't understand how this works. Xaris333 (talk) 08:46, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
- Neutral Proposal needs to be clarified w/r/t how many properties are being proposed – so this is just for two properties? Also "kit" should be called "uniform" to be generic. If that name change is made, I'm a support. --Swpb (talk) 21:13, 16 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Swpb, Xaris333, Dhx1, Pasleim: Not done, no support votes on an old property. ChristianKl (talk) 14:22, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
- Unfortunately... I am not so good at English language. If someone can make a better proposal, according to the above disscusion, I will help him with my ideas. Xaris333 (talk) 14:30, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
