- Motivation
For Motivation see the Property proposal for Debian Package. Beware! For Ubuntu I could see a minor issue arising with the aforementioned formatter URL as it contains the relase name. Ziegenberg (talk) 19:39, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
- Discussion
- Support The formatter URL can just be updated to the latest Ubuntu release each time, I think that's fine. ArthurPSmith (talk) 17:13, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
- Support, good initiative. Ivanhercaz (Talk) 23:42, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
- Support Yes! But with
http://packages.ubuntu.com/$1
instead ofhttp://packages.ubuntu.com/yakkety/$1
, otherwise we'll have to rename the formatter URL every 6 months and packages can be absent or renamed on other releases. --Thibaut120094 (talk) 06:52, 10 January 2017 (UTC) - Support. YULdigitalpreservation (talk) 18:14, 10 January 2017 (UTC)
- Someone noticed what User:ArthurPSmith and Thibaut120094 suggested? Why it's created with the name "Ubuntu 16.10 package"? Can be renamed safetly to "Ubuntu package" with the latest URL? --Valerio Bozzolan (talk) 18:26, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
- I renamed Ubuntu package (P3473) to "Ubuntu package" and changed its formatter URL (P1630) as User:Thibaut120094 suggested. –Simon04 (talk) 08:21, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
