Motivation

This proprety request is part of the project of creating an infobox for materials. It could be also be usefull to switch element infoboxes to Wikidata.

Discussion

I was a little bit surprised that it didn't exist. Do you mean you use mass in elements infoboxs ? --Thibdx (talk) 17:57, 28 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No, we (pl.wiki) don't. In fact, we don't use any other WD parameter than Commons category in chemistry infoboxes in pl.wiki right now (I'm planning to use some of WD data in Mineral infobox in pl.wiki). We have some checks established (infobox is checking whether identifier X is the same in infobox and WD – this is helping in curating data in infoboxes and WD as well), because chemical compounds in WD were uploaded by bots rather carelessly and now we have a nice mess and a lot of items to curate. I tried to add checking of molar mass (molar mass is added using mass (P2067) too) to pl.wiki chemical compound infoboxes, but unfortunately the molar mass in WD is not the same as should be used in infoboxes (monoisotopic mass vs exact mass). Apparently, io.wiki and ru.wiki use mass (P2067) in their chemistry infoboxes. Wostr (talk) 07:13, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
