Motivation
There are various cases when human has been bitten by animal, but also when human has bitten another human, but also an animal or something worth biting for some reason. Specifically, my initial motivation was to describe an incident where Kiisu Miisu (Q42442324) did bite a Kristiina Ojuland (Q438802) at government press conference. Although biting somebody seems not very serious act, kids tend to bite each other and grown-ups and usually stop doing it from certain age, but it seems to happen in sports and most of cases when someone notorious is bitten by somebody/something notorious seem to be worth registering. I didn't think of fictional characters biting each other, this might be also something to think of. Märt Põder (talk) 20:37, 10 February 2018 (UTC)
Discussion
- Oppose I do not think it's information deserves to be added.Wikidata is not a news website David (talk) 15:13, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
- Comment I guess this would be considered more seriously if the scope was extended to any physical contact, for instance. A handshake, a kiss or a slapping, for example, could be included. This might be useful for fictional works. Thierry Caro (talk) 20:20, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose Use significant event (P793). Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 23:42, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
- I am against adding this speech by any property David (talk) 05:35, 13 February 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose per Andy. Mahir256 (talk) 07:50, 13 February 2018 (UTC)
- Comment Thanks for your comments, I think for most of the cases using significant event (P793) will do, however having more direct way of describing physical effects of agent (Q24229398) on each other or physical object (Q223557) seems intuitive and might be good for different queries. But, yes, it somehow leads to ontology of describing detailed actions in real world, I'm starting to think of historic battles, boxing matches etc. This might be out of scope for Wikidata. --Märt Põder (talk) 03:04, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
- I think we can close this as Not done given the oppose votes. − Pintoch (talk) 16:51, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
