Felix (Q18177136): male given name: (delete | history | links | entity usage | logs | discussion)

Q18177136 Refers to the same thing as Q971545, could not figure out how to merge. Just move information to lower number before delete? Messes up language linking. --Immunmotbluescreen (talk) 10:39, 13 February 2017 (UTC)

They aren't the same. Felix (Q18177136) is about male given name (Q12308941), Felix (Q971545) is about male given name (Q12308941) and family name (Q101352). --ValterVB (talk) 12:28, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
How to resolve this then? Most languages will have only one article with maybe a subsection for Felix as a surname. Of those languages I can read (about half of the instances) none seem to separate the two as this would be in practical. I remember when you could just add language link without any of this and everything just worked seamlessly.

We just leave it at this. When there are seperations made in different wiki's we change it here too. Q.Zanden questions? 14:22, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
Just a recap:
So maybe a deletion is not the way to solve this but something needs to be done. If I am on the Swedish page of Felix I want to quickly see if the English has more information by clicking on the language link. Now this is impossible since the English article is linked to (name) while the Swedish version is linked to (given name). Should I move every article to (name) and leave the other empty? Should the wikidata (surname) and (given name) reference name somehow so that the next person is aware if this?
--Immunmotbluescreen (talk) 20:49, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
I now see that the name already reference the surname and given name and vice versa.
--Immunmotbluescreen (talk) 20:54, 13 February 2017 (UTC)

I fixed the language links and started a discussion about this instead in the Project chat. --Immunmotbluescreen (talk) 17:59, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
