- There is a sitelink, and the precision of coordinates in Geographic Names Server, combined with the addition of several watercourses in the country, suggests a source was used that was probably more accurate than the older GNS records although it's unclear what that was. Older GNS records in the area (imported to GeoNames with first three digits usually 231) have coordinates that are often imprecise and often inaccurate, or incorrect names. Some have been improved; where they have not, that could be an indication that they could not be identified. Those added later (GeoNames IDs with first three digits 843 in Mai-Ndombe province, and 833 in part of Équateur province) are more precise and likely to be accurate enough.
