Task/s:
The function of the bot is to import data about immovable cultural heritage to Wikidata as part of Wikimedia Sverige's Connected Open Heritage Project.
This request is for data about archaeological monuments in Denmark from the Wiki Loves Monuments Database.
Code:
The bot uses Python and the Pywikibot framework. The code is up on Github: Framework, Specific table processing script
Function details:
The bot processes data from the Wiki Loves Monuments Database, in this case the dk-fortids, about 31k items. They will all make use of Danish ancient monument ID (P3596) as an identifier, linking them to the relevant entry on the Heritage Agency of Denmark's website.
Here's an example of how the data is translated into Wikidata properties: Wikidata:WikiProject WLM/Mapping tables/dk-fortidsminder (da)/preview.
A test run with a handful of items has been done: Q30086520, Q30086517, Q30086516, Q30086513, Q30086510, Q30086508, Q30086505, Q30086503, Q30086502, Q30086500.
