Task/s: Import painting items for paintings in the collection of Tartu Art Museum (Q12376420) from the Estonian Museums Information System (MuIS (Q50211618))
Code: Github
Function details: Take the entire list of paintings in the collection of Tartu Art Museum (Q12376420) and use MuIS object ID (P4525) to take data from MuIS (Q50211618) (from the RDF/XML view). When paintings are missing (in most cases, in the beginning), create an item for them. I've checked before that everything in the collection that is in WD seems to be marked with MuIS object ID (P4525) already, so no duplicates should be created. Most of the information is just values that can be easily added. For creator (P170) the bot only adds something if there's an item in WD with the relevant MuIS person or group ID (P4889) (don't want to try to match just on names to avoid errors, so it'll be up to humans, mostly our Wikimedia Eesti volunteers, to add MuIS person or group ID (P4889) to authors). --Reosarevok (talk) 15:14, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- Quite a few test edits made - this makes a lot of edits per item (all statements + all stated in (P248) references) so while there are already more than 50 edits, it'll take a while to get to 50 items, but I'm letting it run and supervising it further for now. Thought I'd already add it here in case more eyes want to look at it too. --Reosarevok (talk) 15:14, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- Around 50 items added now! :) --Reosarevok (talk) 14:22, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- I am ready to grant the bot flag in a couple of days, provided that no objections will be raised. Lymantria (talk) 06:22, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
