I would like to help clean up the backlog of property proposals marked ready. I have read the policy here. I don't have much spare time but I will try to tend to this duty at least once every two weeks. See property proposals from me (pending and completed) here. It was when I have started involved in Wikidata projects last 2 years I came across Wikidata Properties and it's needs. I have proposed properties related to India and its state, Kerala and are currently using for various items. When I come across proposing new properties I have seen nearly 55+ backlog of property proposals marked ready. So I am requesting this permission to reduce the backlogs and to create properties proposed by others-❙❚❚❙❙ JinOy ❚❙❚❙❙ ✉ 15:53, 14 March 2020 (UTC)

- Question You have proposed 7 Properties, 4 have resulted in Properties, 2 are under discussion. Looking at these two properties, the domain field of the proposal is used for what? —Eihel (talk) 17:12, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
- The domain field represents the entity type which the property is used for, ie the Item in which this property is added must contain the statement instance of (P31) and the domain value or its subclass must be added to it.-❙❚❚❙❙ JinOy ❚❙❚❙❙ ✉ 18:02, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
- Gnoeee Could you look again at your 2 Property proposals under discussion, here and here? Depending on the domains you entered, would you be so kind as to choose the domains corresponding to the examples? (hint: in description, one of the proposals talks about people, the other talks about movies ...). Subsidiary Question: To transcribe the domain in the property, what are the 3 "relations" available for the creator of property? —Eihel (talk) 20:03, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
- @Eihel: Thank you for notifying. Corrected the two proposal. Then the answer for the question is: the 3 relations are subclass of (Q21514624), instance or subclass of (Q30208840) and instance of (Q21503252)-❙❚❚❙❙ JinOy ❚❙❚❙❙ ✉ 20:32, 14 March 2020 (UTC)

- Strong support
Initial support—Eihel (talk) 20:41, 14 March 2020 (UTC)- After 2 creations, I have no doubt. Good continuation Gnoeee. —Eihel (talk) 16:12, 17 March 2020 (UTC)
- Partially done Given the lack of full support, but trying to give the user the benefit of the doubt, I'm going to flag for a week, to give Gnoeee I chance to demonstrate the ability to use the rights properly. See precedent at Wikidata:Requests for permissions/RfPropertyCreator/April 2019#ZI Jony. Please ping me in a week and I (or another admin) will take a look at the properties created so far. --DannyS712 (talk) 16:08, 16 March 2020 (UTC)

I requested several properties, and I seen a huge backlog in properties ready to create. As I'm a long-term contributor at Wikipedia and also Wikidata, and as I have much free time, I want this permission in order to help with the backlog. Thanks. --Amitie 10g (talk) 19:25, 16 March 2020 (UTC)

- I am also for if Amitie 10g knows that the Property creators… must not create properties they have suggested themselves and I think DannyS712 can grant him the right from the 18th. —Eihel (talk) 23:36, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
- Fixed --DannyS712 (talk) 23:38, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
- Yep, I already know I can't create the properties I suggested. --Amitie 10g (talk) 23:40, 16 March 2020 (UTC)

- Done, please remember not to create properties you have proposed. --Kostas20142 (talk) 19:59, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
- This seems to be the user who proposed Wikidata:Property proposal/Dog and cat breed registries. --- Jura 14:59, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

I see that there's a bit of a backlog of properties ready for creation, as well as more proposals that require comment and participation. I'm a regular contributor to Wikidata, interested in properties because they can very directly improve data quality and connectivity (and influence the way we model data). I'm familiar with a lot of the facets of property creation; comfortable with constraints (including regex); experienced with external IDs and some common situations they involve (e.g. Wikidata:Property_proposal/Scribd_Book_ID where I noticed that all these IDs are the same across seemingly separate domains, or Wikidata:Property_proposal/Glassdoor_company_ID where I noticed that there was a more appropriate ID than the originally proposed ID). In general would say I'm a cautious, thoughtful and thorough contributor (see Wikidata:Requests_for_permissions/Bot/SilentSpikeBot which I think demonstrates this well). I've read through the property creator responsibilities, steps for creation and criteria for creation (which I think could be made more explicit/quantifiable in terms of "consensus"). As I regularly look through property proposals anyway, I'd be glad to help out with their creation too. SilentSpike (talk) 14:49, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
