Hi, I am an user from Chinese Wikipedia, holds rollback rights over several wikis (e.g. Chinese Wikipedia/voyage/versity (which I am a sysop)) as well as commons, meta). I am finding some LTA having root here, such as w:ja:LTA:ISCHEKIA, hence, there is more need to restore their contributions (as seen in my reverts), with rollback this task will be slightly easier. Thanks for consideration. Best Regards. Cohaf (talk) 16:28, 3 May 2019 (UTC)

I clean vandalism and copyvio from enwiki, mrwiki, hiwiki and commonswiki, many a times I feel the to need revert edits on wikidata but I don't have rollbacker rights here, additionally I would love to patrol pages/edits here, So, I am requesting rollbacker rights here. thanks QueerEcofeminist (talk) 09:36, 11 May 2019 (UTC)

Hi, I would like to request rollback to assist with reverting vandalism. I have not been active on WD lately, but would like to help out more; as you can see, my recent contributions consist of reverts (using the undo function). I am familiar with the policies (what is and is not considered vandalism), and already hold the rollbacker right in en-WP. Thank you! –FlyingAce✈hello 20:38, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
Done. Despite your low activity on Wikidata, your experience on enwiki shows that you're able to hold the flag, and your edits here are okay. Esteban16 (talk) 22:16, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

Hello: I would like to request a rollbacker flag for wikidata. I am a rollbacker+ (one who has an ability to delete pages) in RU-wikipedia as well as autopatrolled in DE-wiki and in Commons. I was reverting too much vandalism here today, not to ask for a flag )) I hope to do much more vandalism fighting here in the nearest future. Thank you for considering! Done - thanks for helping out. -- Ajraddatz (talk) 23:43, 23 May 2019 (UTC)

I'd like to request rollback rights to make undoing vandalism and other edits easier. I have the rollback right on both english wikipedia and simple english wikipedia, and know how to use it properly. Thanks, -- DannyS712 (talk) 18:44, 23 May 2019 (UTC)
- Do you have experience reverting vandalism on Wikidata? Please provide some examples; I haven't found any with a quick scan through your contributions. -- Ajraddatz (talk) 23:39, 23 May 2019 (UTC)
- The problem in the contributions is not that he has not made a fight against vandalism, it is that he lacks a lot of summary of his actions. I found the fight against vandalism. To be convinced of it, you have to look for the mw-undo (add this term as a tag, then redo a search). It is perhaps the habit of the revert in other projects (Simple and enwiki) which makes forget these summaries, but it is also what saves its request. Indeed, I had the same opinion as Esteban16 above. And of the 3 applications presented here, the scheme is repeated: the number of undo (mw-undo) is not conclusive on WD, but the habit of revert on other projects make it falls into the second category: "have a strong history of combating vandalism on other projects". The utility of these three applications is not to prove for the sake of WD. It is a
Support. Sincerely. --Eihel (talk) 00:27, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, I just didn't see any when I first looked. That said, I missed a couple on the first page, and both of them look good.
Done with thanks for helping out. -- Ajraddatz (talk) 00:44, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
- @Ajraddatz, Eihel: sorry I couldn't answer; yes, I have been manually undoing such edits. Thanks for explaining, Eihel. Question: what or where are the guidelines on the use of the rights other than
rollback
, like suppressing redirects? Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 01:14, 24 May 2019 (UTC)- They should generally be used to counter vandalism only if they are part of the rollback toolkit. But there is some leeway too, if using the rights would be helpful. -- Ajraddatz (talk) 03:38, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
