Too slow

The idea behind this tool is ok and it's nice that people worked on it; I think the main benefit might be to provide a single one-click task for users who need to get started on Wikidata.

However, it's IMHO unusable for any serious work, unlike the Wikidata Game by Magnus: not only it requires me to load Wikidata items entirely, which is horribly slow on its own, but it even reloads the whole thing (or most of it) every time I accept or reject a single claim/reference. I probably wouldn't be able to do more than one edit per minute... Nemo 15:50, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

I don't think it was intended for, nor is it suitable for, people trying to get started on Wikidata. --- Jura 15:54, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

remove unreliable source

Hello,

I found a lot of https://en.wiki2.org in the tool. Is it possible to remove them, they are just the same as 'imported from' enwiki :( - Thanks--Hsarrazin (talk) 21:18, 31 January 2016 (UTC)

@Hsarrazin: There's a URL blacklist page at Wikidata:Primary sources tool/URL blacklist (linked from the very bottom of Wikidata:Primary sources tool). I'm not sure how often the tool checks it though. - Nikki (talk) 08:14, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
Thank Nikki - I just added it :) --Hsarrazin (talk) 19:13, 8 March 2016 (UTC)

Primary Sources list

Why is the Primary Sources list not up to date? I found entrys that were added at 1. Jan and are still being displayed. If I aprove, the data is being added a second time. Queryzo (talk) 13:29, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

I came up against the same bug. I had to revert about 30 of my own edits because I added sometimes up to 3 sex or gender (P21) claims to one entity. I noticed that PST contains a lot of already existing data and that sometimes even constraints are violated (e.g. [1]). This is extremely frustrating. Solving this bugs would be great especially because the amount of so far resolved claims is extremely small. -- T.seppelt (talk) 07:45, 8 March 2016 (UTC)

Name

I find the name of this tool confusing. I tried "random freebase item" and I wasn't presented any primary source, mostly IMDB (at best secondary) and newspapers (at best tertiary). Nemo 15:50, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

Nemo_bis (talkcontribslogs) Totally open to a name change - but the sources of data are not only Freebase, we have also other datasets coming in. Any other idea what we could put in the sidebar as a title? "Suggest Data to add"? --Denny (talk) 19:57, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
The sidebar name is ok, the tool's name is incorrect. "Freebase import tool" would be straightforward. If you only want to change one word, perhaps "Tertiary sources tool". Nemo 18:16, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
How about "Machine Data tool"? ChristianKl (talk) 12:11, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
