Explained[edit]

This -- https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Property:P8097&diff=prev&oldid=1233044868 -- throws an error so it was removed from wikidata property example. --User123o987name (talk) 10:54, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Expand this property?[edit]

Should this property be expanded to include all devices that send/recieve on more than one single frequency? For example (frequency jumping) radars, jammers and tunable radios. /ℇsquilo 18:21, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. There could be many more uses for this property if it included all frequency bands, not just network bands. For example many amateur radio tranceiver models do have items here that could use it. Samoasambia 18:17, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you look at the name, currently the item covers managed communications. Walkie-talkies and such don't form networks. If the use is expanded then the name should change to reflect this. There is a frequency (P2144) property but it is a little awkward to work with quantities. Infrastruktur (talk) 05:29, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that would be the idea. I would change the label to "frequency bands" for the reasons you mentioned. –Samoasambia 10:46, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
