footway[edit]
@Srittau:, thoroughfare, route, or way on land between two places also refer to footway. See OSM wiki
- I moved the alias "footway" to footpath (Q5466541) and marked that as a subclass of this item. The way I understand it, this item is basically for any kind of street, i.e. a connection of two places on land, while the latter item is for paths dedicated to pedestrians. - Ok. But what is missunderstanding containg in - does alias only refer to subclass? ...if it also refer to upclass? - @Fractaler: Sorry, but such a relation does not make much sense. All three terms are derived from maybe the same stem, but that's all, different concepts, different dimensions. I would propose to remove this relationship completely. Subclass of construction?[edit]
Should not a road be considered a subclass of construction? If this is the case, then we would be able to indicate that a road crosses (P177) a body of water. Peaceray (talk) 15:44, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
