I have great doubt we should merge these, even if there is a link between them… a merge would make a lot of nonsense with the statements… If wikipedia articles are mainly focused on the gene, they should be bound to the gene-related Qitem and if they are more focused on the protein, then they should be bound with the other Qitem. Possibly adding redirections (or using the old interwiki system, used formerly to Wikidata implementation) on each of the wikipedias to make sure both "groups" are bound together (in the sense of making it easy to swap language) may be a valid option. 2A02:2788:228:93D:9143:F8EC:53BF:D108 17:50, 19 July 2022 (UTC) Thank you for paying attention! But I'm sure that there is no practical difference at all. In my view, the absoulute majority of protein articles in Wikipedia are combined protein/gene articles. Pages https://en.wikipedia.hfut.cf/wiki/Colelithiasis and https://pt.wikipedia.hfut.cf/wiki/Colelit%C3%ADase had different wikidata sources, and due to that, interwiki language links between them couldn't be formed. This was eventually solved with wikidata edits. These edits were reversed (https://www.wikidata.hfut.cf/w/index.php?title=Q272714&oldid=1681478431) with argument that "concrements != illness". This was again fixed and https://www.wikidata.hfut.cf/wiki/Q272714 now feeds 54 languages. I would like to be sure that I am right fixing this. Thanks. Gambiteer (talk) 01:30, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
