Motivation
The property complements the Wikdiata data model in the area of the performing arts, where I am planning to ingest several data sets over the coming months / years. See Wikidata:WikiProject_Performing_arts/Data_sources.
The following example illustrates the use of the proposed property. Note that the touring theatre production was based on the same Performance Plan as the original production, with the same stage director, but with a largely different cast:
- Liberté provisoire (Q51208455) – theatrical production of the touring company Galas Karsenty during the season 1934-1935
- <revival or touring version of> Liberté provisoire (Q51203738) – theatrical production of Théâtre Saint-Georges in Paris during the season 1933-1934
- <based on (P144)> Liberté provisoire (Q51203608) – play by Michel Duran
- <revival or touring version of> Liberté provisoire (Q51203738) – theatrical production of Théâtre Saint-Georges in Paris during the season 1933-1934
