description in language constraint (Q111204896) specifies that items with a certain property must also have descriptions in a certain language.

Possible actions[edit]
There are several possible ways to address a violation of this constraint:
- If you can, you should probably add a description in the required language.
- If you can’t add a description (e.g. because you don’t speak the language), you can leave the violation for someone else to resolve.
- It’s possible that the statement is a rare, but legitimate exception to the constraint, and nothing should be done.

This constraint has one mandatory parameter:
- Wikimedia language code (P424)
- Contains the required language(s). If more than one language is listed, the constraint is satisfied if the item has a description in any of the listed languages (“or” condition). To require descriptions in several languages (“and” condition), define several separate constraints of this type, with a single language parameter each.
