Wheelchairs[edit]

Should this property be used for wheelchairs? They are vehicles in a sense, and use much the same technology as vehicles.--Pharos (talk) 20:03, 26 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I would say that it sounds reasonable.--Micru (talk) 09:25, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. Thierry Caro (talk) 05:37, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Extend scope to public transport?[edit]

The original property proposal intended for this property to be used on (fictional or non-fictional) humans. However, the property seems generic enough (based on the description) to be used on public transport items to describe the vehicles used by individual lines or networks. For example, route 96 (Q12061652)vehicle normally used (P3438)E class (Q5321494). Looking at the current uses of this property, it seems like it has already been used as such, but I wanted to gather feedback first. Any thoughts? - Pizza1016 (talk | contribs) 02:24, 10 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

So we should e.g. Tōhoku Shinkansen (Q900665)vehicle normally used (P3438)E5 series (Q957322)? --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 12:03, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Liuxinyu970226: Yeah. What do you think? - Pizza1016 (talk | contribs) 23:55, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I think that item operated (P121) is already in use for these item.--Jklamo (talk) 15:45, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Jklamo: Hmm, that's true, although vehicle normally used (P3438)subproperty of (P1647)item operated (P121), so we could change P121 statements whose values are of type vehicle (Q42889) to use P3438 instead. I have a feeling this might capture incorrect relations on some items though.
On another note, does it even make sense for a line or network to operate a vehicle? Because that's what both P121 and P3438 implies. - Pizza1016 (talk | contribs) 23:55, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

 Support the suggestion. Thierry Caro (talk) 05:34, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Pizza1016, Liuxinyu970226, Jklamo: I would even drop the 'normally' so that we can use this on items for plane accidents and the likes. Thierry Caro (talk) 05:42, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
