@Lcmortensen:, what is the difference between this item and Wellington (Q23661)? That one is already the "Wellington urban area". Ghouston (talk) 03:17, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Are you trying to distinguish the urban area from the combined territories of Wellington City, Porirua and the Hutt councils? Ghouston (talk) 03:21, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Having an item to represent the combined urban area perhaps makes sense, but I've assumed that that's what Wellington (Q23661) is supposed to be. It's not an administrative area, and definitions of its extent probably vary. However, I'm not sure that an item is needed for the combined territories of Wellington City, Porirua and the Hutt councils, any more than an item would be needed for any other random combination of territorial authority areas. Ghouston (talk) 03:26, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Wellington (Q23661) is a combination of four urban areas: Porirua (Q1015773), Upper Hutt (Q166002), Lower Hutt (Q1015681) and Wellington urban area (Q106576946). Wellington urban area (Q106576946) is the urban area withing the Wellington City Council area only, not across all four city councils.Lcmortensen (talk) 03:31, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I assume you intend to use the item for something? I suppose if similar items are created for the other councils, Wellington (Q23661) will have urban area parts instead of administrative area parts, which would be more logical, and it could be used for urban area statistics, if such exist.
